How often should I replace the filter?
Typical homes: every 6–12 months. Heavier use (pets, smoking, wildfire season, renovations): 3–6 months. Your app’s filter-life counter adapts to run time and air quality.
What’s inside this filter?

Will a new filter improve performance or noise?
Yes. Fresh filters restore airflow and CADR, so you’ll often get the same clean air output at a lower fan speed (quieter).
Do I need to remove any packaging before installing?
Yes. Remove the protective plastic wrap from the filter before closing the housing. Running with wrap on blocks airflow.
How do I reset the filter indicator after replacement?
Press and hold the unit’s Filter Reset button for ~3 seconds (icon on the top left of the UI panel), or reset in the TrustedAir app under Device → Filter Life.
Will off brand filters work?
Some may fit, but non genuine filters can leak around the seal, reduce sensor accuracy, and may affect warranty coverage. For rated performance, use TrustedAir originals.

How should I store spare filters?
Keep sealed in the original bag, flat, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not open until you’re ready to install.

No… filters won’t affect anything. Your device name, room placement, schedules, and automations remain unchanged.
Any tips to get the most life from a filter?
Run Auto Mode, keep doors/windows closed during poor outdoor air (the TrustedAir app displays your outdoor quality), vacuum the filter often, and avoid blocking the intake.
